Post-migration · Online & Edmonton

Post-migration counselling

Migration does not end when the flight lands. Support for the long adjustment that follows — identity, belonging, and the quiet losses nobody asks about.

Online in Alberta, Ontario and BC; in person in Edmonton. Sessions take place online, subject to applicable professional and regulatory requirements.

The second wave

Often it hits after the paperwork is done and life looks fine on paper: a flat, tired feeling, or a sense of being no one in particular here.

  • Grief for the life, status and closeness you left
  • Feeling neither fully from there nor from here
  • Burnout after years of survival mode
  • Marriage and family strain that surfaced once things calmed
  • Rebuilding purpose, friendship and community

How we work

Sessions look at what you have carried, what you want to keep, and what a life that actually feels like yours would involve.

We speak your language.

Not sure where to start?

Not sure what kind of help you need?

That's completely okay. A social work consultation is a calm, no-pressure way to figure out what would actually help — and what resources already exist for you.
